Description

Your job is to manage your team and keep the clients equipment and premises in good working order, clean and tidy. You need to ensure you manage jobs efficiently while maintaining a safe working environment. You will also be responsible for organising contractor visits to maintain and service machinery.

Responsibilities:

Management:

  • Ensure that top priority jobs are being worked on and that your team have what they need to complete the task.
  • Have a clear plan and allocate the correct jobs to yourself and your staff in line with your/their skills
  • Suggest and implement improvements to working practice in order to increase productivity and efficiency.

Factory Maintenance:

  • Keep the equipment in good, safe, working order
  • Coordinating and performing routine maintenance on factory equipment including saw, forklifts, welding units, press, guillotine, drill and hand held tools.
  • Record keeping
  • Arrange replacements when required.
  • Daily visual inspections
  • PAT testing and record keeping
  • Contribute to Health and Safety team meetings

Office Maintenance:

  • Keep the buildings in good condition
  • Perform minor repairs and arrange major repairs
  • Maintain the office boilers, heating system and ventilation.
  • Keep the building watertight, perform or arrange roof and gutter maintenance
  • Security system

Factory Housekeeping:

  • Keep the factory clean and tidy
  • Day to day supervision of the factory cleaners
  • Arrange to have painting etc re-done
  • Repair, refurbish or replace damaged fixtures and furniture.
  • Ensure that storage is being used appropriately

Office Housekeeping:

  • Keep the offices smart and clean
  • Day to day supervision of the office cleaners
  • Perform minor decorations and arrange major re-decorations
  • Repair, refurbish or replace damaged fixtures and furniture.
  • Keeping your own office tidy and workload up to date

Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate will be hands on, with a strong engineering or building background and will like their working environment to be extremely tidy and will find mess and disorder uncomfortable.
  • Attention to detail, accurate and efficient with strong problem solving and time management skills.
  • Self starting and organised.

Hours

Monday to Thursday 0800 - 1700 Friday

Some works will need to be carried out when the factory or office is empty so on occasion some unsocial hours may be needed for which overtime or time off in lieu will be given.
