Our Client is looking to recruit several Production Operatives to expand their team. This is a Temp to Perm position, with excellent progress opportunities. It would be advantageous if you have experience of working within the food industry.
Hours of work:
06:00 – 14:15 hours and 14:00 - 22:15 hours. Monday to Friday, rotating week about.
You will be working within the Ingredients Production Plant, duties will include:
- Running and monitoring of the process machinery.
- Recording machine settings in line with product specifications.
- Following procedures to weigh out product.
- Operating PLC control panels in both crumb and blending plants.
- Tipping 25kg sacks into a sieve in line with blending procedures.
- Following strict cleaning schedules on blending and crumb process plants.
- Packing and labelling product into bags.
- Carrying out CCP checks in line production procedures.
- Helping in other departments when necessary and promoting a strong team culture across all areas.
Job Accountabilities
- Ensure the setting up of plant machinery in accordance with product specification sheet.
- To start up, run and monitor the crumb and blending process machinery in line production procedures.
- To record and monitor machinery settings in line with product specifications. Any anomalies to be reported to the production supervisor.
- Ensure a consistently good quality product is made throughout a run as per company specifications and report any anomalies to the team leader.
- Report plant breakdowns to the production senior operative or Supervisor.
- To pack, label and palletise product into bags as per production procedures.
- Adhere to company health and safety standards.
- Ensure the correct use of protective clothing and any other safety equipment.
- Assist in maintaining a tidy and well-organised workplace in support of hygiene requirements.
- Assists in the filling out of any documentation generated as part of the day-to-day operations.
- Carry out any reasonable request as requested by your team leader or any member of management within the reasonable scope of the role.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS ROLE WILL INITIALLY BE IN HITCHIN WHERE YOU WILL CARRY OUT YOUR TRAINING, BUT YOU WILL BE RELOCATING TO BIGGLESWADE
