Description
We have a vacancy for a Press Brake Setter/Operator to join our client in Bedford.
In this role you will operate and set the press brake, producing stainless steel products to quality standards, achieving deadlines and meeting customer expectations. You will use various hand tools and sheet metal machinery in the fabrication and finishing of materials.
Skills and Experience:
- The safe and efficient operating and setting of Press Brakes
- Use of various hand tools and sheet metal machinery in the fabrication and finishing of materials
- Executing works orders to the product requirements, in a timely manner with the desired quality and accuracy
- Working of stainless-steel components 1.00mm to 5.00mm thickness
- Ability to read and understand manufacturing drawings
- Minor maintenance of press brake machines
- Good level of numeracy and literacy and the ability to inspect work using vernier caliper, tapes and rules
- Complete the associated paperwork and Quality inspection forms
- Any other Sheetmetal experience would be a bonus but not essential (Welding, CNC, Finishing Tools)
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
- Self-motivated, driven, and able to work unsupervised with the desire and determination to succeed, achieve manufacturing goals and company aspirations
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Physical ability for manual handling (lifting and carrying goods)

Working hours: 39 hours per week, 7am - 4pm Monday to Thursday and 7am -12 noon on Fridays.
