Description

We are seeking a skilled MIG Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of welding techniques and the ability to fabricate and assemble metal components with precision. This role requires proficiency in using various welding equipment and hand tools, as well as a solid foundation in basic mathematics to ensure accurate measurements and cuts.

Responsibilities

  • Perform MIG welding on various metal components, ensuring high-quality welds that meet industry standards.
  • Assemble and fabricate metal structures according to specifications and blueprints.
  • Utilise power tools and hand tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and finishing metal parts.
  • Conduct inspections of completed welds to ensure structural integrity and adherence to safety regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored after use.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while adhering to deadlines.
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures to minimise risks associated with welding operations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in MIG welding; knowledge of stick welding is an advantage.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
  • Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication techniques is preferred.
  • Competence in using both power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
  • Basic maths skills for accurate measurements and calculations during fabrication processes.
  • Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
